You and Lily leave your classroom in search of Mrs. Applebee and the rest of your class. The two of you begin walking down the hallway when you see a few kids walking out of the bathroom and into the gym. Wondering what they are doing, you and Lily quietly go by the gym doors. You open the doors just enough to look inside. To your surprise, you see kids everywhere! There are glowing lights from the tops of all the bleachers. As you look to your left, Mrs. Applebee and everyone in your class is sitting in a circle. You and Lily walk over to see them. Mrs. Applebee explains that the lights have batteries in them so they are still working. She also thanks the two of you for bringing the note to Principal Papaya to remind him she was taking the class to the gym. Just as you are about to sit with your class, the lights turn on! Mrs. Applebee leads your class back to the classroom. Before you leave the gym, you notice it's already 3 o'clock. It's time to go home! You hurry back to your locker, get your backpack, and run to the bus. You can't wait to tell your family about the best day of school you have ever had!
