You have decided to look for Mrs. Applebee's note. You know that Mrs. Applebee gave you a big responsibility and you do not want to let her down. As you are retracing your steps, you hear strange noises. You are all alone and beginning to wonder if your mind is playing tricks on you. The hallway does not seem to end. You still have not found the note, but are becoming more frightened at the deep blackness in front of you. On your right is the hallway back to your classroom. You hear a loud bang coming from somewhere near you. You jumped six feet high with fear, but thought it may just be the janitors.
